The service

Lobby Cloud is a hosted version of the open-source Lobby waitlist software, run at trylobby.app by Rohan ("we"). These terms apply when you create a Cloud account. Self-hosting Lobby is covered only by its MIT license.

Your account

You need a real email address you can receive mail at. Keep your password private; you're responsible for what happens in your account. One person or organization per account.

Plans and payment

  • Free has the limits shown on the pricing page. Paid plans are billed monthly or yearly in advance.
  • Payments are processed by Polar Software Inc. (polar.sh), which acts as merchant of record and handles sales tax and VAT. Your card details go to Polar and its payment processor, never to us.
  • You can cancel any time from Manage billing. You keep the paid plan until the end of the period you've paid for, then move to Free. We don't refund partial periods, but if something went wrong, ask and we'll make it right.
  • If a payment fails, your plan stays active while Polar retries. If it can't be collected, the account moves to Free; nothing is deleted.
  • We may change prices with at least 30 days' email notice. Changes apply from your next billing period.

Limits

When an account goes over its plan's signup limit, new signups are refused until you upgrade; existing signups are kept. Broadcasts and invite batches that would go over the monthly email limit are refused.

Acceptable use

Only collect signups from people who asked to join your list. Don't use Lobby to send spam, to collect data under false pretences, for phishing, or for anything illegal. We may suspend accounts that put our email sending reputation or other customers at risk, and we'll tell you why.

Your data

Your waitlists and the signups in them belong to you. You can export them as CSV or NDJSON at any time and delete them from the dashboard. Deleting your account deletes all of it. How we handle personal data is in the privacy policy.

Availability and liability

We work to keep Lobby Cloud running and backed up, but it is provided as is, without a guarantee of uptime. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before it.
